Albert James is a simple, smaller houseboat that works well for families or groups who want the basics covered, a rooftop spa and a lower-cost way to get out on the Murray.
There are three bedrooms, including two queen rooms and one bunk room with two shorter beds. There are also two sofa beds in the living area if you need extra sleeping space. Linen is provided, and one bedroom has a 12V plug for a sleep apnoea machine.
Inside, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, two dining areas and the usual essentials already onboard, including a fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, cookware and drinking water.
Upstairs, there’s a shaded dining area, two sunbeds and a 4-person heated spa. Out the back, you’ve also got a BBQ and rear deck shower, which is handy after a swim.
Power is kept simple with a quiet 3kVA Honda generator, while evaporative cooling, gas heating and instant hot water handle the comfort side. A fuel-injected 60hp Mercury four-stroke takes care of cruising.
Albert James is a good fit if you want an easy, affordable houseboat with enough room for the family and a spa upstairs without paying for a heap of extras you may not use.
