Diplomat is one of the simpler boats in the fleet and a good fit for smaller families or groups who want to get on the Murray without spending a fortune.
It sleeps up to 8, with three bedrooms made up of one queen room, one double room and a bunk room with two singles. There’s also a sofa bed in the rear living area if you need the extra sleeping space.
Inside, you’ve got a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, freezer, microwave, gas stove, coffee machine and the usual cookware and crockery already onboard. There’s a dining area, TV and everything you need for a straightforward stay.
Upstairs, there’s a large shaded deck with an outdoor setting, Chef’s BBQ and ice box. It’s not trying to be the biggest or fanciest boat on the river. It just gives you a good place to sit, eat and watch the Murray go past.
Diplomat has air conditioning, gas heating, a key-start generator from the helm and a 40hp Mercury four-stroke handling the cruising side of things.
Diplomat is a good fit if you want a simple, budget-friendly houseboat with enough room for the family and all the basics already sorted.
