Windermere Dream is a smaller, easy-going option for families and groups who want plenty of the important stuff without paying for a massive boat.
It sleeps up to 8 across four bedrooms, including a queen room, two double rooms that can split into singles, and a bunk room. There are also two bathrooms, which makes life a lot easier once everyone is onboard.
Inside, there’s a fully equipped front kitchen with two full-size fridge/freezers, dishwasher, coffee machine and everything you need to cook properly while you’re away. You can dine inside, outside, upstairs or downstairs depending on where the weather is behaving.
Upstairs, there’s a 6-person heated spa, shaded dining area and sound system, so it’s a good spot for long afternoons and slower evenings on the river.
Power is fully off-grid, with around 15kWh of lithium battery storage, 6kW of solar and a 7kVA backup generator. The system is monitored 24/7, so the power side of the trip mostly looks after itself.
Twin 40hp Mercury four-strokes handle the cruising, with air conditioning, gas heating and hot water keeping things comfortable onboard.
Windermere Dream is a good fit if you want a smaller houseboat with four proper bedrooms, two bathrooms and enough space to settle in without overcomplicating the trip.
